ISRAEL – Business Trips to the West Bank
Officials at the Israeli Ministry of Interior have disclosed that a new policy is being adopted at Israeli border control, whereby entrants to the country on business trips are being asked to declare that they do not intend to visit the West Bank.
Business travellers who do intend to visit the West Bank must apply for a visit permit at least one month in advance at the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), which is a unit of the Israeli Ministry of Defence, responsible for administrating and implementing Israeli government policy in the West Bank area.
