ISRAEL – 2016 Minimum Salary for Foreign Experts

Effective 1 January 2016, the National Insurance Institute in Israel has published an updated average salary for 2016 of 9334 NIS.

This means that the new minimum gross base monthly salary for foreign national experts holding B-1 work permits is now 18,668 NIS (up from 18,246 NIS in 2015) or double the national average.

The change does not affect experts holding a working visa under SEA (Short Employment Authorisation for 45 days) or STEP (Short Term Expedited Process for up to 90 days) categories.
