Immigo and Immiguru Safe from Dirty COW Security Flaw
We are pleased to inform our clients that none of the Immigo or Immiguru servers are susceptible to an attack that attempts to exploit the "Dirty COW" security vulnerability, as we have updated all of our servers to a patched version of Linux.
What is Dirty COW?
As you may be aware, researchers announced on Friday the discovery of a nine-year-old security flaw in Linux, the open-source operating system, which runs on most internet servers as well as Android smartphones and many “internet of things” devices.
The bug gets its name from the “copy-on-write” mechanism it exploits to allow an attacker to gain control over a computer.
How are Immigo and Immiguru Secure?
We have updated all our servers to the latest secure, patched version of the Linux kernel, so our systems are not vulnerable to this attack.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns you might have.
