The anticipated technical changes include a new requirement for the applicant to visit the Ministry of Interior for fingerprinting, and the issuance of new residence cards.

Details remain unclear, but delays are to be expected for those planning to submit residence permits.

Action Items

  • Employers in Greece should note that planned residence permit applications (and therefore the date that the applicant may start work) are likely to be delayed.
