PHILIPPINES – Annual Report for ACR I-Card Holders Due by 3 March 2018

The Philippines Bureau of Immigration (BI) has issued its guidelines for holders of Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Cards (ACR I-Cards) to follow in filing their required Annual Reports (ARs). In the first 60 days of each calendar year, all foreign nationals in the Philippines holding valid ACR I-cards are required to complete this annual reporting procedure.

Foreign nationals have until 3 March 2018 to:

  • Complete the required AR 2018 filing through the online system here;
  • Report in person to the main BI Office in Intramuros, Manilla or to a participating BI satellite office (listed on the BI website); and
  • Present the following: (1) their original ACR I-card, (2) payment of the PHP 310 AR fee, (3) printed copy of their confirmation number of their AR 2018 filing provided by the online system, and (4) signed undertaking of any outstanding BI obligations (in the case of CA 613 and/or RA 562 related liabilities).

Failure to complete the AR process before 3 March may result in fines and late fees: including a PHP 500 Motion for Reconsideration fee, a PHP 10 late report fee, and PHP 200 for each month (or part of a month) beyond 3 March in arrears, up to a maximum of PHP 2,000. Only those foreign nationals under 14 years of age, over 65 years of age, and those mentally or physically incapacitated (with medical proof) are exempted from the AR requirement.

Action Items

  • Foreign nationals should make arrangements to complete the AR 2018 process between 2 January and 3 March in order to avoid fines and potential complications in their immigration process going forward. Companies and their employees with questions regarding their AR 2018 obligations or process are encouraged to reach out to their Immigration Specialists for assistance.
