INDONESIA – Change of Sponsorship Exit Permits; Manpower Department Plans to Audit Via Skype
In early January 2013, the Indonesia Manpower Department announced some changes. Effective immediately, applicants who have previously been working in Indonesia but are changing sponsorship must provide copies of exit permits to prove that they have left the country prior to making any new visa application. Also, the Manpower Department has announced that it is planning to process 90% of applications online and will be using Skype to conduct workplace audits.
Exit Permits
Applicants for new visas who have been previously working in Indonesia under a different company's sponsorship must exit the country prior to applying for the new visa. Effective immediately, the visa telex approval application must be supported by a copy of the exit permit with exit stamp.
Online Applications and Audits
The Manpower Department has announced its intention to process 90% of RPTK, TA01 & working permit applications online.
Companies wishing to make applications should register here for a username and password.
The Manpower Department is likely to request company details and supporting company documentation to be submitted via soft copy, and also plans to conduct meetings and audits using Skype.
