ISRAEL - End of Strike at Consulates
The strike of the Israeli Foreign Ministry employees that started in early June has been suspended by the National Labour Court, and the parties have been referred to a mediator. According to the court decision, the consulates should have returned to full operations yesterday, 1 August.
The strike lasted for nearly two months and there are extensive backlogs. Significant processing delays for visa applicants and their employers are anticipated at all posts.
